The Tower in London

BIM technologies have recently secured a commission to work on a new landmark in London. Working as BIM coordinators the team are working with AHMM architects, AKT and Hilson Moran to produce an integrated BIM for a major new landmark for London.
BIM technologies were appointed by Great Portland Estates to develop the integrated model to pass to the constructor and ultimately the operator of the building.
Initially the BIM technologies team produced protocols and standards for the existing team to work within. The three separate models were then brought together and refined.
The model has now been adopted by Mace who have been appointed as main contractor. They wil use the model for clash detection and programming throughout construction.
When completed the £60million, 16 storey tower off Blackfriars bridge will be the new home of United Business Media the parent company of BD and Building magazines..
